How can we help?
Find help with Nkyea Twi, subscriptions, purchases, organization access, audio, speaking practice and common technical issues.
Start with the issue you're having.
Organization Access
If a school, university, church, company, cultural organization or other participating organization has given you access to Nkyea Twi, you can redeem that access inside the app.
Open Nkyea Twi and go to Settings → Redeem Organization Access. Enter the access information supplied by your organization.
If your access code is not recognized, first check that it was entered exactly as provided. If the problem continues, contact your organization or Nkyea Support.
Subscriptions & Billing
Individual Nkyea Twi subscriptions purchased through the iPhone or iPad app are billed through your Apple ID.
You can view, change or cancel an App Store subscription from your Apple device by opening Settings → your name → Subscriptions and selecting Nkyea Twi.
Because App Store payments are processed by Apple, Nkyea does not have access to your Apple ID password or payment-card information.
Restore Purchases
If you previously subscribed but Nkyea Twi is not recognizing your purchase, use Restore Purchases inside the app.
Make sure the device is signed into the Apple ID that was used for the original App Store purchase. You should not need to purchase the same active subscription again simply because you changed devices or reinstalled the app.
If Restore Purchases completes but premium access remains unavailable, contact Nkyea and tell us what happens when you attempt the restore.
Audio & Pronunciation
Nkyea Twi uses audio throughout the learning experience to help you hear how Twi words and phrases are actually spoken.
If you cannot hear audio, first check your device volume, Silent Mode, connected Bluetooth devices and whether audio is being routed to headphones or another speaker.
If only a particular phrase or lesson has a problem, let us know which phrase or section you were using so we can investigate it.
Speaking Practice
Speaking practice is designed to help you move from recognizing a Twi phrase to actually producing it yourself.
If speaking practice cannot hear you, make sure Nkyea Twi has permission to use your microphone. On iPhone or iPad, check the app's permissions in Settings and make sure microphone access is enabled.
For clearer results, speak naturally in a relatively quiet environment and hold the device at a normal speaking distance.
Phrases, Translations & Twi Content
Language can vary by context, speaker, dialect and level of formality. If you have a question about a phrase, translation, pronunciation or how something is used in Nkyea Twi, we want to hear it.
When contacting us, include the English phrase, Twi phrase and the category or Mission where you found it. That makes it much easier for us to review the exact content you are referring to.
App Not Working Correctly
If Nkyea Twi freezes, closes unexpectedly or a feature does not behave as expected, first make sure you are using the latest version available from the App Store.
Closing and reopening the app can resolve temporary problems. If the issue continues, restarting your device may also help.
Before deleting the app as a troubleshooting step, make sure you understand whether any information you want to keep is stored locally on your device.
Internet Connection
Some Nkyea Twi features may require an internet connection to retrieve or process information. If a feature appears unavailable, check that your Wi-Fi or mobile-data connection is working.
If other internet services work normally but a Nkyea feature repeatedly fails, contact us with the name of the feature and the message displayed on screen.
Using Nkyea on a New Device
If you move to a new iPhone or iPad, download Nkyea Twi again from the App Store.
If you have an App Store subscription, make sure you are signed into the Apple ID associated with your purchase and use Restore Purchases if necessary.
Organization users can use the organization-access process provided to them by their institution.
